Sörman Supports Aerobatic Pilot

Jan Emilsson´s interest in flying started already in the 1970s. He started early with model airplanes, with his father as a helpful pusher.

In the early 1980s, he met a pilot of real aircrafts, who got him interested in real flying. He started to take flying lessons and after a time he got his first pilot´s licence. From that time he has been in the air all the time possible. Later on he was a flying instructor and after a while, instructing others to fly, he visited an air show. He was so impressed by the air show pilot and asked him afterwards if it was possible for him to learn the secrets of aerobatic flying with him as his instructor. He agreed, and after some test flights he was convinced that this is what he really wanted to do.

At an air show several years later Jan Emilsson looked when another pilot, Nikolai Timofejev, was flying his Sukhoi 26M. What an incredible pilot and what incredible airplane! He was amazed of the show and wished he had that kind of flying machine himself! Therefore he started hunting sponsors.

In 2006 Sörman Information entered as one of the main sponsor to Jan Emilsson He now has his own Sukhoi airplane and if ever attending an event arranged by Sörman Information, do not get surprised if being invited to follow Jan Emilsson up in the air. Sky is no limit!
